Maybe it's because I jumped onto your blog late, but I definitely check it AND use your recipes. Don't give up on us, Chef Taylor.

MMmmmm.... I still checked your blog nearly every day, making me a pretty lame person, since I knew where you were and that you wouldn't be posting. Glad you're back :)

Hi! Looks like a nice warm meal. Meg and I just made a sweet potato and barley chili to combat the East Coast cold.

Anyway, I seek your advice on hummus and babaganoush. Meg and I have been experimenting with the Mediterranean spreads and they occasionally turn out very bitter. Sometimes we think the bitterness comes from the fresh garlic. We've also blamed it on the tahini. I've heard rumors that sometimes eggplants taste bitter.

Any thoughts?

Tay,
Soup is PERFECT for right now...even in warm, sunny Phoenix (current temp: 45 degrees). That's FREEZING cold for us! haha.
Love you.

Glad you are back.

This soup sounds good. It snowed like a foot up here last night...soup weather for sure. Now if I can just find the box with my ladle. I might even forgive Rachael for her excessive use of the abbreviation EVOO.
